The Challenge

Animate fruit characters with real textures, imbuing them with personalities defined by their wear and level of rot, while optimizing production time through reusable rigs.

Our Take

By reusing skeletons and limbs, we streamlined the rigging process, enabling faster animation focused on dynamic group sequences.

Character performance emphasized acting and expression, with rendering achieved in real-time using our custom CocoaRender engine. This NPR tool delivered stylized passes with biased rendering, capturing a rich, textured aesthetic true to the project’s unique vision.

New tools:

CocoaRender (NPR realtime render and Stylized passes Biased rendering)
