The Challenge
To develop a scalable production pipeline that could handle both previs and asset development, while ensuring all elements would be production-ready once the project received its greenlight. Working with a locked script and storyboard from the client meant we needed to maintain precise timing and dialogue as provided, with no flexibility for pacing adjustments. This approach eliminated the need to rebuild assets after moving from test animation to final production.

Leveraging our proprietary render engine, we integrated character animation with painted 2D backgrounds using a quasi-realtime rendering workflow. By resolving compositing issues at the render stage, we minimized the need for cleanup passes in TVPAINT, streamlining the process of finalizing character aesthetics and performance.
